Clinus acuminatus, known commonly as the Sad klipfish in South Africa and the United Kingdom,[2] is a species of clinid in the genus Clinus.[3] It is a subtropical blenny found from Namibia to the west of Algoa Bay in South Africa, in the southeastern Atlantic Ocean.[3] It was named by M.E. Bloch and J.G. Schneider in 1801,[4] and can reach a maximum length of 13 centimetres.[3] Female blennies in this species give birth to live young.[5]
